HIEU MIT PASCAL

Pascal Kunze (25) is the main actor of RambaZamba Theater, a Berlin theater company in which professional actresses and actors with and without functional diversity live together. Pascal is also the singer of 21 Downbeat, the electronic music group formed by four actors from RambaZamba and Leo (41), the musical composer of the company's plays. After a concert, Pascal and Leo realize that the project is not working, that they need something else. Alternating film postcards of the city of Berlin as a symbol of the emotions that Pascal is unable to show, we see the journey of our protagonist in search of the ingredient that complements and brings back to life 21 Downbeat. This is how we meet Pascal, a mischievous, direct character who provokes the world to push the limits of the people around him with whom he has difficulty communicating. At the same time, he presents himself as a tremendously sensitive, magnetic and intuitive human being.
Pascal appears in abandoned Berlin Tempelhof Airport. As if attracted by the song of a mermaid, he begins to walk in search of the source of the female voice until he reaches a karaoke improvised by a Filipino community located a few meters from the fence that separates the terminal from the green areas and the airstrip, discovering Hieu Pham (25). Pascal has an intuition: he approaches her to propose a rehearsal with the band. After a brief and unfruitful conversation, they separate; it is following this moment that we move on to Hieu's point of view. This is how we meet a person who is antagonistic to Pascal but with the same conflict: her difficulty in fitting into the environment or the environment's difficulty in fitting into her.
After several days and at random, Hieu meets Pascal and Leo outside the flower shop where she works. Pascal invites her to participate in a band rehearsal. Hieu appears days later at RambaZamba Theater and the rehearsal is a success. They begin to spend time together and to empathize with each other. Hieu attends the next 21 Downbeat concert which turns out to be the best one they have ever given.
It is in the wake of this moment that the band starts to grow. At the same time, a relationship of complicity and love is generated between Hieu and Pascal, but Pascal's attitude goes beyond conventions. The sudden success intoxicates him and he starts to have behaviors that make both Hieu and Leo distance themselves. Hieu and Pascal are afraid of throwing away everything they have built. It is then that both of them, independently and before the last concert, become aware of what they mean to each other and what they have built together with Leo, Heiko, Moritz and Sebastian, members of 21 Downbeat.
